Security Concepts Sponsors Noah's Way Charity Cornhole Tournament

This past weekend, Security Concepts was honored to sponsor and participate in the Noah’s Way Cornhole Tournament to help support families of children with down syndrome. While our all-star throwers  didn’t bring home the trophy in the 64 team bracket, there were plenty of winners as a result of the overwhelming generosity of all the participating companies.

Noah’s Way is a charitable foundation sponsored by Kenco Development that was created in 2020. The name of the foundation, “Noah’s Way,” originated from Noah Perrault, born in April of 2020, son of Todd and Alyssa Perrault. Todd Perrault is the Vice President of Kenco and also the brother of the Owner, Shane Perrault.

Down syndrome is the most common form of intellectual disability in the world. The odds of having a child with down syndrome is approximately 1 out of every 1000 babies born alive. The cause is due to a genetic abnormality that affects the child’s chromosomes. Chromosomes are found in cells that consist of thousands of genes. People without genetic abnormalities have 23 pairs of chromosomes, and each pair is given a number between 1 and 23. People with Down syndrome are born with three, rather than two, copies of chromosome 21. Today, Scientists are still unaware of how this occurrence happens, resulting in the extra chromosome and the Down Syndrome Prognosis.
