What is Corporate Social Responsibility?
Corporate social responsibility or “CSR” has been defined as: “the continuing commitment by a business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as the local community”. CSR is a strategy with which companies try to create a positive impact on society or the environment while doing business.
Why is Corporate Social Responsibility important?
Around the world, organizations are becoming increasingly aware of the need for social responsibility. An organization’s commitment to the well-being of society has become a benchmark in measuring its overall performance and its ability to continue operating effectively. This, in part, reflects the rising understanding that we must ensure sound organizational governance, equitable social conditions, and healthy ecosystems. Ultimately, an organization’s activities depend on the health of the ecosystems around them.

Giving back to the community is a core value of OMNI Resource Management and its divisions. Our team works with local organizations to provide in-kind services, offer our support through volunteering, and provide funding to help strengthen the framework of our local community.
